Cosmetic Medicineとは
美容医学の英語の用語表記ですが、アメリカではAesthetic medicineと表記されることの方が一般的です。日本では、「Aesthetic」という用語の響きが、いわゆる「エステ」「エステサロン」「エステティックサロン」を連想させることから、Aesthetic medicineという表記を嫌い、Cosmetic Medicineと表記・標榜されることが多くなっています。

Aesthetic Medicine comprises all medical procedures that are aimed at improving the physical appearance and satisfaction of the patient, using non-invasive to minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.
