Windowsのファイル上にループバックマウントしてインストールするのがWubiです。
インストール時のGrub.cfg設定を手動で設定する場合に利用します。

最近Wubiを使用中にGrubからLinuxの設定が削除される事例があります。
必ず /boot/grub/grub.cfgのバックアップを取っておいて下さい。
sudo cp /boot/grub/grub.cfg /host/Users/(Owner)/Documents/
特にroot.diskのUUIDだけは確実にバックアップを残しておいてください。

for ubuntuで22.04を使うとgrub.cfgでubuntuが削除される問題。grub.cfgバックアップ必須。要注意。
インストール後のWubi for Ubuntuのgrub.cfgがこちらです。
